The primary challenge was to provide a robust automation solution that could withstand the property's frequent ground flooding. The existing underground hydraulic motors were prone to water exposure, which compromised their performance and increased maintenance needs. The client needed a reliable alternative that would not be affected by flooding. Additionally, they desired an improved access control system to manage visitors conveniently and securely.
The installation began by removing the existing underground hydraulic motors and assessing the site to ensure the new brushless arm automation could be fitted securely. The brushless motors were then mounted above ground, connected to the gates, and configured for smooth and quiet operation. The GSM intercom was installed at the gate entrance, integrated with the gate control system, and configured to enable remote access via mobile phone. This allowed the homeowner to control the gates easily from anywhere. Extensive testing was performed to ensure the system functioned reliably under all conditions, including potential flooding.
To address the flooding issue, Secure21 LTD recommended switching from underground hydraulic motors to brushless arm automation. The brushless arm motors would be mounted above ground, making them less susceptible to water damage while providing efficient and maintenance-free operation. In addition, a GSM intercom system was installed to allow remote access control via the homeowner’s mobile phone, making it easy to grant entry to visitors and monitor gate activity.
The transition from underground hydraulic motors to brushless arm automation significantly improved the reliability of the dual swing gates, addressing the flooding problem and reducing maintenance requirements. The above-ground installation of the motors protected the system from water damage, while the GSM intercom enhanced access control with convenient remote operation.
